Tai started working at Pentad in 1993, at the age of 16. He started out doing GIS mapping and soon became engrossed in the business. He continued doing demographic mapping and, after he earned his real estate license, worked as an agent while he earned his bachelor's degree in marketing communications from Brigham Young University. When he graduated in 2001, he turned down offers from real estate companies in Los Angeles and Seattle to come on full time at Pentad and work in the Utah market he knows so well.
As a retail specialist, Tai helps retail tenants choose and obtain sites throughout Utah, as well as assisting property owners sell, lease, or develop properties. Tai has particular expertise in the demographic profiles and trading patterns of trade areas in the market place, site selection, lease and contract negotiation, site package preparation, and marketing properties.
Because Tai has been involved in the business most of his life, he has a thorough understanding of the industry. He has been involved in deals with some of the biggest retailers in the nation, and gets a thrill from learning the fundamentals of his clients' businesses and seeing them through the process of opening a store.
